Last Early Release Day of the School Year

The final Early Release Day of this school year will be WEDNESDAY, MAY 22nd 2013 at 12:50 PM.
Buses should arrive at the afternoon stops two hours earlier than the normal time and we will be serving lunch on this day.  There is no Preschool on the early release days.

Walk-a-thon and School Cookout

Our annual fundraising Walk-a-thon, which promotes healthy exercise, and raises money for school activities will take place on Friday, May 24th.  Students will walk around our fields and ask for sponsors to support their laps.  We will be looking for volunteers to to help track laps and hand out water on this morning.  The rain date for this event is Tuesday, May 28th. A cookout for all students will take place on this day.  More details to follow as we get closer to the event.

Math MCAS Testing Dates

Our mathematics MCAS testing will take place in grades 3 and 4 on the following days.  Please avoid making appointments or dismissing children from school during these important tests. Please make sure children get a good night's sleep prior to testing, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time.  The school will provide a small snack and juice for all third and fourth grade students on testing days.

Grade Three Students will test on Monday May 13th and Tuesday May 14th.
Grade Four Students will test on Wednesday May 15th and Thursday May 16th.

Penny Wars - Results are in!

We are proud to announce the Bailey School raised $4250 for Penny Wars!  This is over $1000 more than last year. All kids will receive a class Popsicle party and the winning team will get a pizza party.
Half of the proceeds will go directly to the Corcoran Family of Lowell.  This family was drastically affected by the Boston Marathon events.  Thank you to everyone for raising  money for a Lowell family in need.

5. Winning grade will receive a pizza party.

Spring Dance May 3rd 2013

The Bailey School held a Spring Dance last Friday night for all students in the gym.  We had over 130 people in attendance and it was a fun night for all!  Thanks to Ms. Sue Smith for providing the music.  We have some great dancers at the Bailey School!
